Valera, is a 2002, 16.2 hh, KWPN dark bay mare. She has a beautiful, rectangular build, with powerful hindquarters, lovely gaits, and powerful jumping ability. She has the talent to be very successful in the dressage, hunter or jumper disciplines.
In the Spring of 2008, we moved Valera back into competition and riding, after being a brood mare for three years. We only keep our very best mares for breeding, and decided that Valera was a very nice mare, but we had too many Indoctro mares.
At 2008 Win-A-Gin Dressage Schooling Show, her first show after being back in training for a month, Valera consistently scored in the mid to high 50’s and placed 4th or 5th in three First Level Tests. We believe that she has potential to improve these scores significantly as she becomes more comfortable and relaxed.
Valera is training at Second Level dressage and will be competing at First Level this year. She is working on extensions and collections and has a very nice counter canter.
Valera will also be going to some lower level hunter and jumper shows to give her some hunter/jumper experience.
Valera’s dam sire (Indoctro) produces offspring with very athletic conformation and good movement. These offspring excel at jumping and dressage. She has very good broodmare potential. She has produced three very high quality foals for us. One of her foals is three and just entering training.
