2004 gelding by French Buffet out of Labiola by Nimmerdor. He has three very balanced gaits and good freedom in his shoulder. He will make a strong dressage prospect. He has great work ethic and is fun and easy to ride. He is a star pupil, a fast learner. He is training at Third Level and will be competing at Second Level this year. He is working on collections extensions and flying changes. He recently finished three months of training with Grand Prix dressage rider Sandra Tull.
Dressage at 2009 Waterloo Spring Classic, Zazu competed in three First Level Tests and one Second Level Test. He received two scores over 66% at First Level allowing him to qualify for regionals.
At his first dressage show, a recognized competition at Waterloo Hunt Club in 2008, Zazu was Training Level Champion and won three of his five training events. His scores ranged from 75 to 66 and averaged above 70. He received mostly 8's on his gaits. He received comments from the judges such as: "beautiful, elastic test", "relaxed and obedient", very elastic horse", and "a lovely horse with great potential".
Zazu’s dam sire, Nimmerdor, is the KWPN jumper stallion of the century. He had 18 KWPN approved sons, as there are Ahorn, Wellington, Goodtimes, Heartbreaker; and his 39 approved KWPN grandsons, as there are Emilion, Farrington, Glennridge, Kalusha, Londontimes, Matterhorn, Ohorn, Pacific, Radisson and Sydney. Across the whole world Nimmerdor has more than 40 approved stallions. Next to it Nimmerdor brought many national and international jumping horses.
Zazu’s sire, French Buffett, is a thoroughbred stallion that was quite successful as a Grand Prix horse in South America and Europe. He produces easy to ride, long lined foals with good movement.
